Helping and Standing by: Proxima Research’s Charitable Efforts

The war in Ukraine has profoundly changed society’s attitude toward charity. While previously it was a personal choice for a few, today it has become a responsibility for millions. People donate daily, weekly, and monthly; they volunteer—making camouflage nets, assembling drones at home, preparing care packages for soldiers, supporting charities, and helping fellow citizens.

This trend has also influenced responsible Ukrainian businesses. To inspire our peers and report transparently to the public, we’d like to share Proxima Research International’s charitable initiatives.

A New Home for a Military Medic and Generator for Division

Our company donated 100,000 UAH towards rebuilding the home of military medic Valentyn Chernyshov, which was destroyed by a Russian kamikaze drone on June 23, 2025, in Irpin.

“Valentyn is not just a military medic—he is a true hero who voluntarily joined the defense of our country in March 2022. He is the founder of the volunteer initiative #БезБолюUA (#NoPainUA), which helps many in need. His wife, Svitlana, an anaesthesiologist at a leading Kyiv hospital, saves the lives of wounded soldiers every day, devoting her energy and expertise to this noble cause,” wrote one of Valentyn’s comrades.

At the time of the attack, Svitlana’s 76-year-old mother, a displaced person from Zaporizhzhia region, was also in the house. Although she was not physically injured, she experienced severe emotional trauma. The couple also has twin sons, aged 11.

The community managed to raise 80,000 UAH in just two weeks, and now the total amount collected is enough to provide the Chernyshov family with a home again.

Proxima Research also purchased a generator for the needs of the First Artillery Division of the First Presidential Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Burevii”.

IT Solution for Military Medical Inventory

This year, Proxima Research provided theProxima Aptekainventory system free of charge for tracking medical assets in military units under the 30th Marine Corps. The system was transferred for trial use and configured according to the military’s needs.

The solution enables automation of processes such as recording incoming medical supplies, tracking unit-level inventory, and processing write-offs. Plans also include automating the generation of usage reports over specific periods in a format approved by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thanks to the system, the military unit can efficiently monitor how much medical equipment has been delivered to each subunit, track remaining supplies, and promptly respond to the needs of frontline medics.

It’s important to note that “Proxima Apteka” is a fully Ukrainian development created without the use of third-party platforms, ensuring high adaptability to specific operational requirements.

Fundraising for a Mobile Command Post

Last year, during the “PHARMABUDGET 2025: Financial Growth During Wartime” conference held on September 24 in Kyiv and online, Proxima Research organized a charity fundraiser among event guests to support the setup of a mobile combat command post. The company also covered the remaining amount required to fully fund the request.

The soldiers expressed deep gratitude to everyone who contributed and shared that the provided equipment is now helping them perform missions in blackout conditions. “When there’s no electricity but the job must be done, this makes it much easier,” noted the unit’s senior combat medic.
